Local Government Reorganisation Survey
Wed 16 Jul 2025 19:29
Communities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are being given an opportunity to have their say on a once in a generation opportunity to shape the future of local government.
It follows a national government requirement to replace current district, county and city councils with single-tier councils in the biggest shake-up of local government since the 1970s.
The survey is open until Sunday 20th July. For further information and to respond to the survey, visit Fenland District Council's website - Local Government Reorganisation -

No election was called in respect of this vacancy, so the Parish Council intends to co-opt a new Councillor at its meeting on Monday 11 March. Anyone interested in applying for consideration for this position should submit a brief written statement outlining their relevant knowledge, skills and experience, their reasons for wanting to become a Councillor and what they hope to achieve in the role. Statements must be submitted to the Clerk no later than Wednesday 6 March.
The Good Councillor's Guide explains how local councils work and the role of a Councillor.
The three vacancies resulting from May's elections have now been filled. Shaun Potter, Ryan Feeney and Julia Hayes were co-opted onto the Council, bringing different knowledge and experience to broaden our horizons.
We welcome them all and look forward to working with them for the next four years.
